How Much Runoff?

Students hypothesize whether a developed or an undeveloped watershed would have more stormwater runoff. Then they experiment to test their hypothesis, explain why, and come up with alternatives to change the outcome. 50-60 minutes.

Classroom presentation

Students will be able to: explain what a watershed is; explain the difference between a developed and an undeveloped watershed; give 2 reasons why there is more runoff in a developed watershed than in an undeveloped watershed.
