Environmental & Land Use Law curriculum
ENVIRONMENTAL & LAND USE LAW: ENGAGING STUDENTS IN THEIR COMMUNITY A curriculum for high school teachers and attorneys. This innovative curriculum was published in 2004 by the Washington State Bar Association. It provides lesson plans, handouts, and resources for environmental and land use law attorneys to use when they visit high school classrooms. The curriculum was developed by Kristen Bergsman of Laughing Crow Curriculum LLC and Martin Fortin, Jr. of Cispus Learning Center to support the National Law Day program.

The curriculum, Environmental & Land Use Law: Engaging Students in their Communities, provides opportunities for high school teachers to invite an attorney to visit their classroom. The curriculum provides teachers and visiting attorneys with four engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans, along with extension activities and resources. The curriculum is flexible and adaptable to help teachers make environmental and land use law relevant to their existing classroom curriculum and to their community.
