Students for Salmon Elementary Program
The Students for Salmon program provides hands-on outdoor science experiences to students in grades 4-6. Lessons from the SFS Teacher Handbook focus on watersheds, salmon ecology, and habitat restoration while the program culminates with an NSEA-led student stream exploration at the school's local Whatcom County creek!
High School Streamside Science Program
The Streamside Science Program offers hands-on outdoor science education to students in grades 9-12. Students learn the basics of water quality monitoring and habitat restoration by carrying out their own water quality data collection and planning and implementing their own stream restoration project.
Middle School Service Learning Program
Middle school is the ideal time to turn student knowledge into positive restoration action. NSEA offers service-learning experiences for middle school students throughout Whatcom County, guiding students through a stewardship experience that empowers them to make a positive impact on their environment and the health of their entire community!
