Why Add Information to the Resource Center?

The Purpose(s) of this Resource Center project.

Need a central place to market your services and products and to post events for your clients? Interested in finding resources yourself and seeing what other providers are supporting?  Needing to show how your products correlate with teaching and learning standards? These are just some of the items the Resource Center supports!

Hosted by EEAW (www.eeaw.org) for E3 Washington (www.e3washington.org)  this on-line center will list, inventory, report and promote EE resources across the state during and beyond the E3 regional and state network and capacity building process. Spread the word – let your networks of peers and providers know about this important tool which only gets better as more and more organizations sign on.  Help us spread the word!image_200pix_w_birdhouse.jpg

The four purposes of the site are to:

  1. Be a central clearinghouse to promote EE as a resource rich and diverse professional community ready to serve the needs of a “greening” society.
  2. Support your networking needs by connecting you with those who both have and need EE resources in your community and across the state
  3. Help you reach audiences in new ways through an on-line directory of organizations, services, events, and resources
  4. Inventory EE resources in Washington in order to expand, improve and connect providers to the growing number of audiences looking for EE resources.

Below are a few examples of how the site might be utilized:image_200pix_w_kids_digging.jpg

  • Teachers in a particular E3 region or combined region such as Puget Sound Region or the Columbia Gorge to Coast Region can access all kinds of information about EE providers  that service their region of Washington.
  • EE professionals in Washington will be able to see all EE resources on a specific topic such as global warming, ocean literacy, tribal history, etc., or a type of material such as curriculum guides, unit plan, lesson plan, etc.
  • EE Leaders in E3 regions and statewide will be able to request reports of the resources listed and be able to chart results.

Please take 15-30 minutes to add your Organization and the Resources to the Resource Center.  Click here to get started (or to login if you have a username already) and thank you for all you are doing for our children, communities and our mother earth who sustains us all.
